Marketing and Communications Specialist

Marketing and Communication Specialist; London; 12 months; £365/day

My client, a large government organisation is looking to recruit a Marketing and Communication Specialist, who will direct and lead the large communication programme for the organisation. The ideal candidate will be developing a strategic communications plan at national level, including ministerial and top employer engagement, and delivering the communication strategy. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible to the Head RF
*Developing and delivering marketing and communications initiatives for the department;
*Being responsible for supporting organisational change, strategically shaping communications, ensuring a unified and on-target message across all media channels;
*Producing proactive and authoritative press releases, briefings, articles and other materials as required, to fit with the department's vision and strategy;
*Planning and delivering reactive media campaigns and responses eg in the run up to and aftermath of Budgets or Spending Reviews, Government policy proposals, or external reports;
*Undertaking the necessary monitoring and evaluation activities in order to determine the success or otherwise of communications strategies.
