Marketing and Communications Manager (Digital)

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER with DIGITAL EXPERIENCE, required for INITIAL 3 MONTH CONTRACT with PUBLIC SECTOR organisation on large DIGITAL programme in EDINBURGH.

Duties will include:

- Support the development of strategies and lead the implementation of marketing and communications activities for the large digital transformation programme
- Develop a detailed range of communications policies and guidance
- Raise awareness of an positively influence public opinion on the programme
- Prepare articles, blogs, videos and other promotional content to the in-house style
- Increase programme profile at corporate events
- Build relationships with relevant print, broadcast and online journalists and be a key point of contact for the digital press team

Essential Skills:

- Qualifications in marketing, public relations, journalism or similar
- Experience in a managerial role
- Experience in marketing and public relations planning
- Current knowledge and experience in using digital, social and mobile tools in marketing and public relations
- Experience managing external and media relations effectively

Desirable Skills:

- Experience of implementation and delivery of digital transformation projects and/or change programmes
- Public sector background

This is an initial 3 month contract although likely to go on for aorund 9 months.

Candidates will be expected to either already hold a valid basic Disclosure Scotland certificate or be willing and able to apply for one prior to CV submittal to the client.
