Market Risk .NET Developer - Oil & Gas/Derivatives

MARKET RISK .NET DEVELOPER - OIL & GAS/DERIVATIVES

We are looking for an exceptional individual with very strong technical and analytic skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The role will serve as a .NET Developer within the Trading Functions Global Market Risk team. The .NET Developer role is accountable for both tactical and strategic n-tier solutions as well as unit testing and ensuring alignment with company standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Design and develop software solutions to requirements
- Document design and implementation (UML diagrams, source code)
- Develop unit tests and ensure proper code coverage
- Performance tuning of code with large data sets
- Creation of queries and web services
- Creation of mock ups or wireframes
- Manage code within a source control system
- Manage builds and migrations between various staging environments
- Working closely with various project team members and the Business Users
- Support the UAT process
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify potential solutions
- Assist with release or change management process
- Provide time and effort estimates for project planning
- Assist in identifying project risks and mitigation plans to ensure proper delivery of the project
- Assist in scope management and escalation of issues
- Document and provide knowledge transition to support

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- 8-10 years of professional hands-on design and development experience with .NET C# and ASP.NET
- 4 years of experience within the Market Risk trading domain specifically Oil and F&D.
- Strong development experience with the following technologies:

o VBA and VB.NET
o Web services
o Windows security
o N-Tier solutions - Strong to Expert Oracle SQL or ANSI SQL
- Performance tuning and ability
- Test driven development
- Demonstrates evidence of project completion including transition to support in an enterprise environment
- Effective and clear communicator
- Experience with large-scale enterprise wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, Servers and logical environments
- Experience with enterprise project development life cycle
- Experience with Change and Release Management
- Application of best practices to ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables
- High self-motivation and strong delivery focus
