Market Data Engineer - Hong Kong

MARKET DATA ENGINEER - HONG KONG - INVESTMENT BANKING

LOCATION: Hong Kong

DURATION: 12 month contract

My client, a global investment bank, is currently looking for a Market Data Engineer to join their highly reputable engineering division.

YOUR DAY TO DAY TASK WILL INVOLVE:

- Support Day to Day operation of Market Data Platform (TREP) and/or TIBCO Messaging products
- Plan and execute changes to the environment based on project and business requirements
- Provide consultation for the business and business application development teams on market data solutions that meet their requirements
- Engage with vendors and exchange to execute changes or new implementations
- Use industry knowledge to proactively inform businesses of the impact upcoming changes to relevant market data products as well as to formulate a plan of action
- Delivery of production solutions that minimize day to day support effort taking into account system instrumentation/monitoring to provide a robust, resilient and efficient operating model.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION:

- 3+ years of experience with market data or messaging products in a banking environment
- Strong experience supporting Tibco products.
- Strong Scripting skills (Perl/csh/python).
- Knowledge of market data API is a plus
