Manugistics (JDA) Consultant

The Manugistics (JDA) Consultant will help in efforts to support and enhance business processes/systems to support Supply Chain planning functions. The Consultant must be able to understand core business objectives and processes and translate those needs into a clear definition of IT requirements, culminating in successful delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Creating design documents for interfaces and configuring the application.
- Testing and migrating the setups to production.
- Create and maintain all documents involved with these activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement business process improvement strategies
- Provide input for production related issues
- Work with key members of various departments and other members of the IT team to identify and resolve application issues, system enhancements, and new user

requirements - Application design and architecture components
- Developing and testing detailed functional design for business solutions
- Work with development to ensure solution is built to spec
- Planning, design and execution of data conversion activities
- Solving business problems with application (JDA) functionality
- Driving small & large teams to solutions on production and project issues, including teams of internal business customers, IT testing & development teams
- Managing customer expectations
- Providing status reports and effectively prioritize work with the internal customer

SKILLS

Must have a minimum of 6 years experience with the following Manugistics modules of JDA Supply chain application: JDA Demand, JDA Fulfillment, and JDA Collaborate. BA/BS degree required. 6+ years minimum Supply Chain experience required, with at least 4 years of JDA (Manugistics) experience. Experience in interfacing with Oracle DB/ERP/EBS application. Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL etc. Strong understanding of supply chain planning fundamentals. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with business requirements gathering. Must have expertise in Functional Design and Documentation. Strong understanding of the JDA database schema and table structures required. A proven understanding of SDLC and Change Management methodology preferred.
