Manufacturing Test Engineer - Dublin South Central

Work for a leading global company in Dublin
Opportunity to work with the best in the industry
6 month contract with potential to extend
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Development and deployment of robust manufacturing test hardware and software to support sensor volume manufacturing.
- Analysis of new hardware designs and provision of design for test (DFT) feedback to design team.
- Generation of Manufacturing Test Development Plans and Schedules.
- Timely Development and deployment into manufacturing site of test solutions to support New Product Introduction (NPI) schedules.
- Generation of Test Process Documentation and provision of technical training to Supplier Test engineers.
- On-Site Manufacturing Test process Support at Supplier Factory during volume ramp-up.
On-going test engineering support of the sensor manufacturing test process including:
- Analysis of test hardware and test program performance and sensor test results.
- Addressing test coverage issues and test stability issues through Design of Experiment (DOE) and failure analysis of sensor units which passed tests station and failed later in the process or in the field.
- Reduction of Test times and overall cost of testing.
Working with partner engineering team to ensure:
- Test hardware and software is properly maintained and operating effectively.
- Ensuring ample test capacity is in place to meet sensor manufacturing volumes.
- Analysis of test station yields and driving test station yield improvement.
Support non-volume manufacturing Product Test Requirements (which may include but not limited to):
- Working with External Test partners on Product Reliability Testing, Sensor and Component level failure analysis.
- Qualification testing of new and alternative components
- Test Verification and analysis of Customer Returns
WORK EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
B.Eng. Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
ESSENTIAL:
3-4 years National Instruments Labview & Teststand Test Development experience.
Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuits.
DESIRABLE:
High frequency RF Testing experience desirable.
Test development experience using Scripting Languages (Python, etc)
