MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN I needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Melville, NY.

- Filling and packaging operations

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Tends machines that perform one or more packaging functions, such as filling, labeling, packing or bundling.
- Positions components on machines and monitors operations to detect malfunctions.
- Monitors and records product weights to ensure proper fill weights.
- Inspects filled container or package to ensure product is according to specifications.
- Clears line of substandard product and documents all rejects discarded.
- Prepares shippers, inspects finished product and packages into shipper.
- Seal, label and stack shipper.
- May fill cartons, carriers or shippers by hand with product, labels literature or applicators.
- Performs cleaning tasks on machine during or after machine operation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Solid English reading/comprehension skills required to understand detailed SOPs.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to work with numbers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
