Technical Director (Shift Supervisor)
One year assignment -Selkirk, NY
Additional Hot Points:
#1) Some type of equipment maintenance/service background (heavy equipment eg locomotives -BONUS, mining, aircraft, diesel engines).

#2) Managed service/repair operation or contract with direct reports - meaning employees under their direct supervision. Special Notes - WORKING AS A SECURITY GUARD AT A MANUFACTURING OR HEAVY REPAIR FACILITY IS NOT WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

#3) Education - Engineer preferred, but any 4 year degree accredited university, Armed Forces/Military, Associates degree - electrical, mechanical, diesel technology etc.. Single classes from 5 colleges and no degree or Facebook University does not work for this job.

This is a locomotive repair facility, where Client operates under a service contract in the repair and maintenance of Locomotives for a class 1 Railroad. The TD (Technical Director) manages several customer craft (union - Machinists, Electricians, Sheet Metal Workers, Boilermakers, Laborers) in the repair and maintenance of these locomotives under a service contract with customer on their property. We operate 24 hours a day, seven Days a week and 365 days a year.

Shifts: Will have rotating shifts on a monthly basis (shifts run 10 hours/day ) 4 days on 3 days off type of rotation but eventually will be 5 days per week 8 hours with likely 10 hours of overtime/week.
Probably within 3 months time the shift will turn into 2nd shift for the rest of the assignment

- Mechanical or Electrical experience
- Operational or shop experience
- Locomotive knowledge

Basic

2-5 years experience required supervising employees in a manufacturing setting

candidates must have manufacturing supervisory experience and be able to be on their feet 8-10 hours a day etc. This is a "working" supervisory position - not a desk job
