Manufacturing Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading Precision Engineering company for a Manufacturing Manager who will drive layout improvements and use lean techniques to take innovative products out to a wider market. This role will give you the chance to stamp your mark on a company that has ties to a global organisation and the financial backing to make it world class. As the Manufacturing Manager?. You'll be developing, coaching and deploying a dedicated production team as you look to achieve short production turn round times, within budget and complete to complex specifications - all within a safe and controlled environment. You'll focus on creating a culture of increased employee engagement through a firm but fair management style as you drive change and efficiencies. You'll provide technical support to manufacturing, with responsibility to improve existing manufacturing processes, and supporting the introduction of new products and new process equipment. You?. You'll be educated to degree/equivalent level in an engineering discipline and will have experience driving continuous improvement within a Heavy/Precision Engineering component manufacturing environment. You'll have the proven ability to champion and drive improvements in a machine shop environment whilst possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the implementation of best practice manufacturing and quality techniques including Lean principles, Six sigma, SMED SPC etc. Successful applicants will be short listed and contacted by Friday 31st May with a view to interviewing the following week.
