Manufacturing Engineers

Yoh has two (2) six month plus contract opportunities for MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS to join our client in Trenton, NJ.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Implements product changes and process changes on the production floor related to risk elimination, cost improvement projects, production demand, Workstation design, material presentation, etc.
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices on safety and ergonomic improvements
- Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods Contributions are expected to result in the development of new or refined equipment, processes, products, or methods
- Performs line balances, capacity analysis, time studies, labor costing
- Document what is normal state and then be able to identify actions to correct abnormal conditions
- Drive lean transformation by eliminating waste
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including technical training as needed
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance program for equipment and setup recommended spare parts
- Works as part of the Change Management Team in the introduction of new products and processes

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS Degree
- Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, cleaning, assembly, and testing
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and creative ability
- Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes
- Excellent analytical skills; ability to transfer analysis to actionable recommendations for the business
- Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
- Results-oriented, self-starter
- Must function well in a Team environment

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- A/B PLC programming (SLC500, PLC5, Micrologix, Control Logix, RS view 32, Panel Builder 32, Control Net & Device Net) is a plus
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, PRO-E is a plus
