Manufacturing Engineer Job

Yoh has a Contract opportunity for a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER to join our client in Burnsville, MN.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manufacturing Engineers develop, document, maintain and improve production processes
- Will develop tooling and equipment to support the Global Operations production line processes
- These processes include assembly, forming, brazing, manual and automatic welding, and plating
- Will specify and justify capital equipment, disposition and track non-conforming material, provide technical support to the area and resolve technical problems
- Scrap reduction, cycle time reduction and yield improvements will also be part of the responsibility, along with participating in corrective action board meetings and driving continuous improvement in the area
- In addition, will work project tasks associated with transferring products lines from our Minnesota facility to our Bengaluru, India facility
- Will deal with routine and new problems on a team with minimal supervision
- The most qualified candidate will have manufacturing engineering experience in a production setting, be action oriented, have excellent customer focus, be adept in problem solving, work well with a team, and have great technical and communication skills
- ProE or SolidWorks modelling experience
- Will seek internal and external customer's inputs, understand general customer requirements, and work on projects to analyze and solve problems of increasing complexity that improve costs, schedule and personnel
- Written and verbal presentation of material in response to internal and external groups through reports, correspondence, and procedures will also be required
- This position may require a minimal amount of travel between our Burnsville and Eagan facilities

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum Education - B.S. Engineering
- One (1) year of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production setting
- One (1) year of experience with ProE or SolidWorks modelling and drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with LEAN and/or Six-Sigma preferred
- Operations Transfer exp. is a plus
