Manufacturing Engineer

Yoh has several contract opportunities for MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS to join our client in Roxboro, North Carolina.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Organize, plan, and implement projects associated with the design of equipment and processes associated with highly automated manufacturing equipment.
- Coordinate and manage engineering activity to meet plant cost savings, scrap reduction, throughput improvement, and new product introduction targets.
- Manage budgets for in-house equipment builds and technical enhancement projects.
- Provide technical support to operators, supervisors and managers as required.
- Drive continuous improvement utilizing lean tools.
- Ensure accurate documentation for processes.
- Ensure quality standards.
- Design/implement product or process changes with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment.
- Identify new equipment as need.
- Drive cost reduction efforts and productivity improvements.
- Participate in various cross-functional teams relative to product development or process improvement.
- Provide training for operators on process changes.
- Assist Product Line Manager with project selection and process evaluations.
- Drive projects to completion by collaborating with operations, maintenance and management.
- Utilize a "hands on" approach to design, fabricate, install, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Utilize problem solving techniques and the ability to deal with ambiguity to implement creative manufacturing solutions.
- Champion continuous improvements through active learning from both successes and failures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology. MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in design and development of highly automated product lines with products requiring micron tolerances.
- Experience with using CAD systems (PRO-E, AutoCAD, etc.) - preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools.
