Location: Birmingham
Contract: Initially 6 months
Salary: circa £28-£30 per hour

The Company:

A leading aerospace client dealing in the design, development and manufacture of control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a number of Traditional Manufacturing Engineers to join their busy team.

*You could be responsible for writing the instrument control process for a range of CNC machines including Doosan, Mazaks, Studer, CMM (PC dmis/modus), Okuma and Bridgeport, along with many other machinery often with Fanuc controls and programming the CNC machines to meet project requirements.

*you may also be involved in the production of process layouts, FMEAs, PFMEAS, NPI, Capability, inspection reports and change requests as applicable

The Candidate:

You should have experience of working as manufacturing engineer in a precision engineering environment. With a background of component Machining, you should be able to write CNC programmes, and programme the CNC machines. Alternatively, or in addition, you will be required to specify process layouts, Any experience working with valves and gears would be advantageous but not essential.

Technical:

Manufacturing, precision engineer, CNC Programming, Process Layouts, FMEA, Production, Aerospace, NPI, FAIRS, 8D, 5 whys, Six Sigma processes.
