Manufacturing Engineer

Global leader in the healthcare/medical product manufacturing industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Los Angeles CA. There are multiple openings. This is a contract position expected to last 1 year, could be longer based on performance, possible temp to hire. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Report/track regularly the progress, milestones, savings, and other key aspects of VSM kaizen that is active
- Lean training, kaizen and team facilitation, presenting at companywide sessions on projects
- Provide guidance and direction to ensure rigor and project progress
- Facilitate the development of value streams and other Lean tools such as 5S or Standard Work

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years of lean/six sigma experience biotechnology pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of Lean tools and Toyota Production System approaches
- Previous experience in using six sigma or lean tools including ANOVA, MSA, DOE, regression, comparison testing, process mapping, 6S / 5S, standard work, set up reduction, mistake proofing, Kaizen, and value stream mapping is preferred
- Documented completion of Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC Training, or Black Belt Certification preferred
