Manufacturing Engineer

Immediate 12+ month contract opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts for a Manufacturing Engineer with Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 3 years experience in medical device, healthcare or related field. The right candidate will develop and execute process development activities and support production for engineering projects and product lines. Work involves manufacturing processes with interaction between production and engineering groups in resolving problems encountered on the production floor. Candidate will also assist in bringing new products to production. Bring your previous knowledge to a great team. This is a great assignment in very convenient location for the right individual!

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead improvements to product quality and production processesand provide floor support to production processes
- Analyze process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance requirements and drive the troubleshooting and corrective action effort for any process issues in designated area
- Troubleshoot existing and new products / processes working closely with production, quality and process development
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports company's quality policy, quality system and the appropriate regulations
- Maintain product / process documentation (MPI, drawings, BOM's & routers)

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 3 years experience in medical device, healthcare or related field
- Engineering technology experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Knowledge and understanding in development and testing of production processes required
- Able to demonstrate experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR) and MDD/ISO Quality Systems
- Pro-E, AutoCAD, PLC and Visual Basic programming and use in current versions of MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, are preferred
- Experience in the principals of Lean Manufacturing
