Manufacturing Engineer

Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture of sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Will be responsible for supporting activities in many areas such as: assembly line set up, yield improvement, process improvements, standardization of assembly and test documentation, supporting and maintaining wave soldering, establishing and supporting test procedures, test instrument calibration, machine maintenance, tool maintenance, estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, ESD control, statistical Process Control (data collection and evaluation), supporting of safety program, quality support, Interfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products, making recommendations for tooling, process requirements and facilities management.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5-7 years of related work experience required
- Four year college degree preferred in Manufacturing Technology
- Electro/Mechanical background
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong electronics background
- Experience with flow manufacturing, kanban, 5S and other lean techniques
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience with databases and basic programming a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
