Manufacturing Engineer

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER contract opportunity near Madison, WI. Need electro-mechanical manufacturing experience. Projected one year assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture of sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Responsible for supporting activities in many areas such as: Assembly line set up, yield improvement, process improvements, standardization of assembly and test documentation
- Support and maintain wave soldering, establishing and supporting test procedures, test instrument calibration, machine maintenance, tool maintenance, estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, ESD control, statistical Process Control (data collection and evaluation)
- Supporting safety and quality programs
- Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
- Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements and Facilities management

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Engineering or Technology preferably Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Engineering, or otherwise four year college degree
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Electro/Mechanical manufacturing or related industrial engineering with experience in Assembly line set up, yield improvement, process improvements
- Need strong electronics background
- Experience with Flow Manufacturing, Kanban, 5S and other Lean techniques
- Solid computer skills, A PLUS to have experience with databases and basic programming
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
