Manufacturing Engineer

An agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer is currently seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer (A) and a Paint Systems Manufacturing Engineer (B) for their facility in the Burlington, IA, area. These are 6 month CONTRACT positions, with a possibility of becoming PERMANENT. Local candidates only, no per diem for these positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- (A) - Work with new product introduction as well as manage the current production process. Work with a new production line and new equipment
- (A) - Analyze and provide technical support of the current Manufacturing system in order to provide safe methods, optimal production capabilities, cost reduction opportunities, process control methods and plans, and manufacturing layouts
- (B) - Lead Paintline processes, both coating and systems, to ensure system efficiency. Analyze and evaluate factory manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials in terms of their associated cost, time, ergonomic, quality, and quantity factors

REQUIREMENTS

- (A) - 4 year degree or equivalent experience. Experience in World Class Manufacturing and the use of Kaizen methodology to continuously improve production processes
- (B) - BS Degree in Engineering preferred. Associates Degree with equivalent experience is acceptable. Manufacturing experience relating to paint / powder and electrodepositing systems necessary. Experience with conveyor systems preferred
- (B) - World Class Manufacturing experience with Green Belt or Black Belt training / certification desirable. Supervisory skills a plus
