Manufacturing Engineer

Large Company located in the Central Florida area is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a BS Engineering degree and a minimum of 4 years experience with improving and managing manufacturing methods, manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes in specified disciplines of manufacturing. This is a temporary-to-hire position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conceptualize and assist with the design of tooling for processes and manufacturing method specific tasks on a components including CNC machines
- Develop and author work procedures for the individual steps of the manufacturing/repair process.
- Develop/apply corrective actions addressing nonconformance in the manufacturing
- Determine product specifications for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree (BA) in Engineering from four-year college or university, or at least three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other production processes in specified disciplines of manufacturing.
- Experience with process monitoring as based on first time quality (FTQ) and component cycle time metrics
- Experience with assisting in the design of processes and manufacturing methods and specific tasks on components
- Experience with manufacturing of large turbo-machinery is desired but not required.
