MANUAL QA TESTER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- HP Quality Center, ALM experience
- Running test scripts
- Experience within large enterprise environments
- Local candidate to Charlotte area

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Identity Access Management (IAM) project has a need for 2 new Test Analysts to create and execute test scripts.
- The Identity Access Management (IAM) project is a project that is replacing Legacy systems with a centralized off-the-shelf product to manage and automate the cyber access process for both Corporate and NER CIP assets.
- The team is in need of a self-starter who has done multi-pass testing and has a deep understanding on test script creation and execution.
- The candidate will need strong communication skills and the ability to articulate and document defects into HP ALM (aka Quality Center).
- Review requirements and identify areas to be tested
- Develop test scenarios, test conditions, test steps, and expected results
- Assist in determining test data requirements and setup data accordingly
- Maintain testing to requirements traceability
- Ensure that all testing results are easily accessible (eg, stored in a commonly-accessible LAN directory or consistently in HP ALM) and understandable
- Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the testing approach
- Review test and validation results with Test Lead to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria
- Execute test cases/test scripts via HP ALM (aka Quality Center)
- Capture actual results and update steps as "Passed" or "Failed" in HP ALM
- Ensure that defects are adequately documented and associated to failed test script and steps in HP ALM
- Identify and log defects and issues with detail documentation to address the issue in HP ALM
- Assist technical resources working to resolve defects to answer questions and provide clarity as needed
- Retest defects when defect resolution is available and confirm resolution
- Provide regular and daily updates on text execution and defect progress

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- HP QC/AL M experience
- Five or more (5+) years of Manual QA Testing experience

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Nice to have: Identity Access Management (IAM) or Active Directory Security knowledge
- Nice to have: Energy Utility and/or NERC CIP knowledge capital
