Manual Gear Shift Lead Engineer- Initial 12 Month Contract - West-Midlands

I am currently looking for a Lead Engineer for my global automotive client based in Coventry. The contract is for 12 months initially, however is likely to be extended.

My prestigious automotive client is looking for a Manual Gear Shift Lead Engineer to join the Manual Transmissions and Driveline team, in specific within the Gearbox design and development, gear shift and crank shift.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following;

*Lead engineer experience previously with transmissions
*Technical Capability/Knowledge of technical details
*Helical Gearing
*Synchronisers
*Mechanical Design, not necessarily CAD but an understanding
*Manual Transmissions Experience is essential
*Ability to challenge technical direction
*At least three full cycle of product development#
*Previous automotive experience
*Previous experience working for an OEM/Tier 1 supplier in a plant based role
