Are you passionate about cars and talented enough to work with the biggest brands in the motor industry? We are looking for a brilliant managing editor to run a team which delivers an online tool to give instant answers to customer queries about Audi, SEAT, KODA, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

You will be responsible for defining, implementing and managing a broad range of written content across a website which is an essential reference for advisors in order to drive improvements in customer satisfaction.

You'll also be an excellent networker and have the ability to write copy that engages the user. Highly organised, you'll be capable of operating in a business environment and of brilliantly running a team working across five brands.

You should have excellent writing and subbing skills and a successful track record either online or in print. You'll need to be computer-literate and have a keen interest in working on the web, but it's your English language skills that interest us most. It's not just your ability to place an apostrophe with unerring accuracy that counts: it's your ability to help translate tricky technical terms into customer-friendly facts.

You will play a vital part in driving the continued success of the Volkswagen Group's customer services centre and will work with the brand teams to create compelling and informative content in an appropriate tone and context.

KNOWLEDGE BASE MANAGING EDITOR REQUIREMENTS

Essential skills/experience

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, preferably journalism or English
- Line management experience
- Must have exceptional writing and grammatical skills with a flair for news writing and storytelling
- Previous experience of writing professionally for an online publication
- Experienced in publishing to the web via a content management system
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly
- Attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills
- Collaborative team player who is able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas
- Managing supplier relationship/working with developers

Desirable skills/experience

- Experienced in working with data analysts to produce site usage reports
