Managing Director - NYC Medical Communications Agency

My client, a prominent global medical communications agency in NYC, is looking for a seasoned Managing Director or EVP of Client Services to join their rapidly expanding team.

This role will be the face of the Account Services Department, report into and work closely with the President, and also be the point of contact for key pharma clients. Additionally, this position will lead an internal account team composed of 13-16 Account members, ranging from VP's down to Account Executives.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Account Management - manage multiple, complex, high-volume projects simultaneously
- Work with President and CEO to manage client expectations and suggest innovative medical communications solutions
- Demonstrated a clear understanding of client marketing, education, and launch's on a domestic and global level
- Business Development - Organic growth of current accounts into new therapeutic areas and to other parts of the business in addition to contributing to RFP's and pitches in a new business capacity
- Full P&L responsibility - strong budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and project revenue recognition
- Team Leadership - proactively recommend and grow Client Service department team members

Job Requirements:

- 8+ years experience in marketing, pharma, and/or preferably medical communications agencies
- MBA preferred
- Proven ability to lead without detailed direction
- Keen attention to manage multiple project timelines and budgets ensuring profitability of deliverables
- Strong communication skill set both across internal team and external pharma clients
