Title: Managing Director
Rate: £450.00 - £500.00 per day
Location: Hertfordshire
Contract: Initial 3 Month Contract, Full-time

Eden Brown is currently working with a leading public health organisation to appoint an interim Managing Director. This organisation is committed to providing outstanding Health and Social Care for both people with mental ill health and those with a learning disability. Partnered with a Local Authority, this organisation looks to develop affective approaches to both Healthoperational, financial and commercial management. They will ensure services within the Strategic Business Unit meets targets and standards in relation to service performance, governance, quality, workforce planning, partnership development and financial sustainability.

The Managing Director will also lead the improvement of the Customer Experience to ensure that the service users, commissioners and other key stakeholders receive the highest standard of service.

Essential Requirements:

Qualifications
- Postgraduate management qualification at Masters Level or equivalent level of experience.
- First degree or equivalent and experience at senior management level.
- Continuous management and personal development.
- Programme and project management qualifications
- Doctorate

Experience/Knowledge
- Extensive experience at a senior management level in the NHS or other public sector organisation of running operational services. This would include a sound working experience and knowledge of a number of management disciplines across Operations, Finance, HR and Governance.
- Experience of working closely with Commissioners to inform and implement policy initiatives.
- Board level experience.
- Experience of working at a senior managerial level across a variety of health and social care environments – specifically acute hospital (physical care), community services, social care, mental health
- Significant experience of working with senior clinicians and multi professional teams in achieving service improvement.
- Significant experience of working with partners and stakeholders in delivering sensitive changes to services.
- Significant experience of managing staff and working with staff Trade Unions/staff representatives.
- Track record in delivering financial plans and cost improvement programmes.
- Evidence of achieving targets and objectives within a challenging environment.

Skills
- Motivating, coaching and developing individuals to achieve their potential.
- Strategic thinker and ability to describe a clear sense of direction and purpose to motivate and enthuse staff and stakeholders.
