Eden Brown Recruitment urgently requires your help filling the following post.

The Managing Director has overall leadership and managerial responsibility for the service quality and delivery within the Strategic Business Unit. This includes ensuring Trust wide values and the principles and practices of recovery are fully embedded across all service within the Strategic Business Unit.

The Managing Director has overall responsibility and accountability for developing and implementing the strategic business strategy and business plan for the SBU. This will encompass all aspects of operational, financial and commercial management.

The Managing Director will ensure services within the SBU meet targets and standards in relation to service performance, governance, quality, workforce planning, partnership development and financial sustainability.

Within their SBU the post holder will personally lead the improvement of the Customer Experience to ensure that the service users, commissioners and other key stakeholders receive the highest standard of service and help the trust to become provider of choice.

Suitable Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications
- Postgraduate management qualification at Masters level or equivalent level of experience.
- First degree or equivalent and experience at senior management level.
- Continuous management and personal development.
- Programme and project management qualifications
- Doctorate

Experience/Knowledge

- Extensive experience at a senior management level in the NHS or other public sector organisation of running operational services. This would include a sound working experience and knowledge of a number of management disciplines across Operations, Finance, HR and Governance
- Significant experience of working with senior clinicians and multi professional teams in achieving service improvement.
- Experience of working with independent organisations to deliver service improvements.
- Significant experience of working with partners and stakeholders in delivering sensitive changes to services.
- Extensive experience of working at a senior level in a large, complex organisation.
- Significant experience of managing staff and working with staff TUs/staff representatives.
- Track record in delivering financial plans and cost improvement programmes.
- Evidence of achieving targets and objectives within a challenging environment.
- Experience of working closely with Commissioners to inform and implement policy initiatives.
- Board level experience.
- Experience of working at a senior managerial level across a variety of health and social care environments – specifically acute hospital (physical care), community services, social care, mental health

- Strategic thinker and ability to describe a clear sense of direction and purpose to motivate and enthuse staff and stakeholders.
