Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MANAGER, MANAGED CARE FINANCE to join our client in San Pablo, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to work as a Manager, Managed Care Finance. This is a full-time, temp-hire position.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing the general accounting/finance area including Accounts Payable, Provider payroll, Cash Management and General Ledger activities.
- Direct activities of subordinate staff engaged in preparing and reconciling general ledger accounts, cash management and payroll/accounts payable processing.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounting.
- Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements, tax documents and supporting schedules, journal entries and financial analyses to reflect the financial status of entity(s).
- Verify completed reconciliations of all income statement and balance sheet accounts and monitor/report financial trends and variances.
- Direct preparation of annual budgets, business analyses and specialized reporting/analyses to meet organizational objectives.
- Act as a liaison between accounting/finance area and other departments, physicians, vendors, auditors and corporate staff in resolving complex or technical issues, providing or obtaining financial and operational information, making presentations and coordinating accounting related activities.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- MBA or related Masters Degree or CPA preferred.
- Approximately five to seven (5 - 7) years of progressively more responsible work related experience necessary, with at least three (3) years in supervision, in order to gain full knowledge of accounting/finance functions.
- Excellent understanding of accounting/finance principles and the capacity to apply these to ensure sound fiscal management; ability to mentor and educate staff expanding their knowledge and application of these principles.
- Advanced analytical ability and problem solving skills necessary in order to establish new accounting systems and procedures, analyze the impact of various financial transactions and make sound recommendations for necessary improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to counsel and deal with physicians, employees and administrative staff in sometimes sensitive situations and provide effective leadership to subordinates; provide consistent and effective communication to same.
