MANAGER - INVESTMENT ACCOUNTING - BRISTOL

My client, a leading financial services company, is recruiting for a Manager in Investment Accounting, to join their Insurance team, on a three month rolling contract.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To manage the operational investment reporting team in the production of reports to meet group, statutory and regulatory reporting purposes.
To manage operational processes and controls relating to investment reporting through IA ledgers and the Data Warehouse reporting solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for managing the month end, quarter end and year end task list of the operational investment reporting team, making sure that best use is made of available resource.
Responsible for the production of routine investment reporting outputs to meet the group, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
Assist with the planning of month end, quarter end and year end reporting periods, feeding in to IA Reporting team plan.
Operational control of general ledger and data warehouse reconciliations ensuring the integrity of the 'golden source' of investment reporting data. Dissemination of findings and training of relevant teams to aid their understanding of the Reconciliation
Ownership of the manual processes and EUCs that exist within IA Reporting to ensure that such processes are robust and that they are operated in line with EUC policy.
Continuous improvement of processes and controls, ensuring adoption of best practice and making best use of IT solutions such as the Asset Data Warehouse.
Provision of Investment Accounting subject matter expertise into projects.
