Manager, Financial Reporting

An opportunity has arisen for a CA to join a large transport organisation in Sydney CBD. You will manage the Financial Reporting team as they prepare internal, external, and statutory financial reports.

This role is a highly visible role that requires liaising with key stakeholders from across the business including Senior Management, Finance Division colleagues, Major accounting firms and Institutions and various other government departments.

You will be fully accountable for formulating advice and coordination across operational objectives including:

- Preparing Financial Reports- including external and statuory periodic reports to ensure they are compliant with accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Managing the Financial Reporting Timetable to ensure that internal, external and statutory requirements are met
- Internal Financial Reporting
- Continual process improvement
- Team Management for the Financial Reporting (Statuory) Team

We're looking for a CA ideally with proven experience from a large, complex environment- ideally from a Big 4. You should also have industry experience preferably from government or a large corporate environment. You should have demonstrated knowledge of current statutory and financial reporting requirements including relevant financial acts and regulations and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices. You should also be a proven leader and have strong communication and negotiation skills.
