Management Analyst

MANAGEMENT ANALYST SAN JOSE, CA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate project meetings and focus groups as needed
- Attend meetings and take minutes, prepare minutes for distribution and distribute
- Record system security audits
- Log and assign incoming requests for service
- Maintain sick/vacation calendar for division
- Meet with agencies/departments to update business process narratives
- Serve as the hiring coordinator for new and contract staff
- Act as division resource for all new hires, coordinate paperwork, cubicle assignments, and moves as needed
- Interview and consult with employees, representatives from other organizations and groups, and the general public to give and/or secure necessary information
- Manage vendor contracts and communication with vendors
- Coordinate with other ISD staff and management as needed
- Perform other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Gather, interpret, analyze, evaluate and present a variety of management analysis data
- Define problem areas
- Plan, coordinate and initiate action necessary to implement recommendations
- Interact with personnel at all organizational levels and function in stressful and/or confrontation type situations
- Initiate, plan, and complete work assignments with a minimum amount of supervision
- Ability to multitask

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Principles, practices and trends of public and business administration
- Basic governmental functions and organization
- Application of statistical methods to management analysis
- Principles of organization and administration
- Effective interviewing techniques at all organizational levels
- Contract Management (desirable but not required)
- Sufficient education or training and experience which directly demonstrates the possession and application of the mentioned experience and skill requirements
