Management Accountant

Leading recruitment agency now requires an experienced and personable Management Accountant to join their business in central London (near Liverpool street station) on a part time basis.

To be considered for this role you will need the following:
* Qualified accountant or QBE (would consider part-qual)
* part time working is available eg; 3 days in the office 1 day from home.
* Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of bookkeeping.
* Strong Excel skills (pivots, vlookups, sumifs)
* Experience reviewing the output of more junior staff ie the accounts assistants.
* Experience dealing with reconciliations that involve multiple interfaces
* An enthusiastic and energetic self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, identify problems and implement changes to drive continuous improvement.
* Experience of using Sage.
* Good communication skills (written and oral).
* Diligence and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight reporting deadlines.

Specific role details:
* Preparing monthly management accounts and resolving month end review queries.
* Reviewing and processing transactional information between management information system and accounting system (SAGE).
* Calculating group recharges between companies.
* Maintaining fixed asset registers for relevant companies.
* Nominal Ledger analysis and review of ledger postings.
* Preparation of monthly reconciliations eg. bank reconciliations, sales ledger reconciliations
Providing input into reforecast process, in particular taking ownership for marketing expenditure analysis.
* Preparing audit files and assisting with year-end accounts.
* Preparing VAT returns.
