Management Accountant

Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced CCAB/CIMA qualified Management Accountant to work with a public sector client based in Alloa. The role will be an initial contract until the end of September, with the opportunity for extension following this.

The purpose of the role is to support the team leader in the production and management of various budgets within the business.

This will include:

. Preparation of revenue budget, financial reports and final accounts
. Monitoring performance against budgets and reporting any discrepancies
. Completion of statutory returns
. To assist in the development of the 4 year budget plans for the business
. To assist in the preparation of the annual accounts with the wider accountancy team
. Working under minimal supervision and the possibility for supervisory responsibility of a small team.

About You

The successful Management Accountant will have the following skills and experience:

. CCAB/CIMA or equivalent qualification
. Strong experience developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets
. A familiarity with legislative requirements
. A good knowledge of legislative requirements and accounting codes of practice
. Excellent communication skills
. Experience analysing financial information.
