Management Accountant

Real Staffing are recruiting on behalf of a transitioning NHS Primary Care Trust who require an interim Management Accountant to provide additional support to an understaffed area of the finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant with strong background in the NHS who is looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced organisation.

Essential Criteria:

* Management Accountant
* Operate at a band 7 level
* Recent NHS experience
* Comprehensive knowledge of NHS commissioning finance
* SBS system use

Preferential Criteria:

* Last position as a management accountant
* Last position within an NHS PCT
* Worked within corporate finance (HR, commissioning, pay and non-pay)
* Good Excel skills (data manipulation, pivot tables, V look-ups)
* FIMS reports
* ESR information processing

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Management Accounting for Corporate Services (HR, commissioning, pay/non-pay)
* Liaising with budget holders and handling queries
* Variance analysis
* Month end budget statements
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Processing journals, accruals and prepayments using Shared Business Services (SBS)
* Data manipulation using Excel
* Employer Service Records (ESR) payroll reports
* FIMS reports
* Reporting to the Finance Manager
* Ad-hoc duties where required
