We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to join their project in Europe or China (location flexible).

Position Title: Managed Services Contract and Commercial Expert
Position Type: Permanent
Start Date: December 2015
Duration: 12 month initial
Location: Shenzhen

Responsibilities:
- Supporting sales engagements for global key MS projects (mainly for outsourcing) in terms of deal shaping, solution architecture (including both technical and commercial solutions), contract negotiation and review, proposal development, bidding clarification, business case, and contract negotiation, etc.
- Develop and update global outsourcing contract templates and negotiation guideline
- Acting as mentor and coach to selected MS sales staff in both HQ and Regions to develop and improve their competencies in handling MS contract negotiation and renegotiation.
- Develop commercial strategy which shapes the proposal to the customer and ultimately the contract - risk assessment and leading the commercial risk analysis.
- Work with global sales and project teams to provide all commercial responses in bid documentation and ensure the end to end responses (sales, technical, project) are commercially aligned and contractually tight.
- Creating all commercial terms and co-ordinating the development of the supporting schedules.
- Negotiate the contract in conjunction with sales, delivery and Legal.
- Work with Procurement/Sourcing on back to back agreements.
- Work with Project Director on all commercial issues during the post sale period; change management, disputes, penalty claims, issues of non-performance that might result in step-in or termination being exercised, customer non-payment, invoicing etc.
- Verify contract completed and all obligations met (transfer back and third party agreements concluded, guarantees recovered etc)
- Contribute to the development of contract management expertise by actively contributing ideas and experience/knowledge learned

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- University degree or above.
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Contract Manager in pre and/or post sales.
- Certification from a globally recognized authority (eg IACCM)
- Technical or outsourcing expertise coupled with knowledge of contract management and interpretation.
- Outstanding communication (verbal & written) and negotiation skills with the ability to lead, influence and drive complex deal shaping and negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex projects from the initial period to successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated business acumen and financial understanding.
- Must be a team player and possess exemplary managerial skills.
