Maintenance Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY:

- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and utility systems in food supplement production facility.
- Have a high level of safety awareness and perform all work in a safe and compliant manner.
- Competently operate hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
- Utilize CMMS programs and maintain records and complete paperwork in accordance with all SOP and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Develop maintenance procedures and improve equipment and system maintenance.
- Determine parts required for repairs and submit requisitions.
- Duties require a strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and machine control.
- Equipment to be services includes but is not limited to dry powder filling machines, powder blenders, conveyor systems, scales, portable totes, dehumidifiers, and facility related devices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in safety programs to meet program requirements and contribute to the growth our site's safety culture.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs to manufacturing equipment/systems while maintaining the validated and/or commissioned state
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks within scheduled completion dates
- Understands site SOPs and cGMPs relative to the position and work within compliance of those standards
- Complete paperwork/data entry in accordance with regulatory compliance.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

- This position will have direct interaction with all production department, quality assurance, supply chain, and office area personnel.
- There will also be occasional interaction with contract personnel such as facility and equipment repair personnel and pest control and security contractors.

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate needs to have industrial maintenance packaging equipment experience. This is not a job for an automotive or heavy equipment mechanic or construction worker.
Technical skills require a high aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and machine control.
Refrigeration and fabrication skills also would be considered beneficial.
