Maintenance Fitter

Our client, A LEADING GLOBAL AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY require a MAINTENANCE FITTER to undertake a 12 MONTH TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT, WITH A VIEW TO GOING PERMANENT, based in Barnoldswick

The role involves carrying out planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance of CNC machine tools, Presses, Furnaces, Furnace Press and Blasting machines. Also analysing downtime situations to develop and implement appropriate countermeasures to reduce or prevent future failures.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- Time Served; Indentured Apprenticeship, Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, NVQ 1,2 and 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenace or very similar.
- Significant experience in the maintenance of CNC machine tools, Presses and/or Furnaces.
- Very good working knowledge in maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and data retrieval applications.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Demonstrable experience in analysing downtime situations to develop and implement appropriate countermeasures to reduce or prevent future failures.
