Position: Senior Engineer - Maintenance Engineering
Job type: Contract (10 Months initially)
Skills: Maintenance management, auxiliary systems, detailed analysis, IT knowledge
Location: Bristol easily commutable from Filton, Cheltenham and with excellent access from Gloucester.
Salary: Negotiable hourly rate

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

The Job:
Seeking to recruit a Senior Engineer - Maintenance Engineering who will be responsible for the following:
Provision of specialist engineering, naval expertise and advice in support of the development and maintenance of efficient and cost effective maintenance management procedures and processes.
In depth knowledge of destroyer auxiliary systems/equipment, outfit and structure including the design, maintenance and operation of.
Relevant IT experience, to include MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Excel and the upkeep maintenance management system (UMMS).
An understanding of the overall destroyer support solution and company engineering requirements.
Ability to evaluate technical options and make timely decisions

TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:
To conduct detailed analysis (Non- RCM studies as required) of the OEMs recommended maintenance policies and to derive cost effective through life support maintenance recommendations for those equipment's and systems that are fitted to the destroyer.
Conduct and arrange any RCM studies that may need to be undertaken for the In- Service ships and amend any existing RCM studies should changes be required.
