Maintenance Engineer/Maintenance Technician/Plant Engineering Shift Technician

Location: Atherstone

Salary: up to £17.00 per hour

3 Shift System - 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am weekly rotating pattern.

6 Month Contract

The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in innovative global technology solutions as an Electrical bias maintenance engineer on an initial 6 month contract. The company is committed to developing abrasive technology within the UK.

The role:

As an electrical bias maintenance engineer you will be responsible for:

Carrying out preventative maintenance checks on a range of manufacturing machinery within an industrial environment.
Maintaining and repairing control and instrumentation systems such as AC/DC drivers & tension control systems.
Fault finding on DC drives, motor controls, and PLC systems, to resolve machine breakdowns.
Liaising closely with engineer departments to ensure that there is minimal disruption to production activities, when dealing with planned maintenance and breakdowns.
Utilise maintenance management systems, such as IBM, to record any maintenance activities.
Other maintenance activities as required.

The Candidate:

As an electrical bias maintenance engineer you should have:

Previous experience of maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic equipment within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience of diagnosing equipment problems and repairing issues.
Experience of working with SCADA systems such as Allen Bradley or Wonderware.
Experience or working with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Texas, and Siemens.
17th Edition qualifications
NVQ, City & Guilds or HNC qualifications within a relevant engineering or maintenance discipline.
