MAINFRAME SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER

Our client is a major banking client based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They are running a number of fantastic projects within the IT department which require the skills of an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer or engineer. You must have worked in an environment where you were responsible for network infrastructure, installation, configuration and migrations.

THIS IS A LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY WHERE THE CONTRACT END DATE IS DEC 2019.

The successful MAINFRAME SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER will have experience in the following:

- Extensive knowledge of SYSPLEX-XCF communication and OSPF
- Migrating Mainframe connections from the EDC to the 3DC backbone
- Extensive knowledge of z/OS base (including JES2, SDSF, TSO, ISPF, Netview, VTAM, APPN and SA/390)
- Extensive knowledge and usage of Monitoring products (such as TMON, Exigence), Storage Products (SMS, DMS or HSM)
- File Transfer packages (XCOM, Connect:Direct, Netview/FTP, FTP, TIBCO Managed File Transfer)
- 7 years' experience in a similar environment
