My client a Tier 1 Bank is urgently looking for a Mainframe System Programmer.

Senior Mainframe (z/OS) Systems Programmer with extensive skills in Networking

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer with extensive skills in Networking.
- Responsible for network infrastructure, installation and configuration.
- 3rd level problem determination
- Migrate Mainframe connections from the EDC to the 3DC backbone.

SKILLS:

Extensive knowledge of z/OS base (including JES2, SDSF, TSO, ISPF, Netview, VTAM, APPN and SA/390). Extensive knowledge of Mainframe Network configuration (VTAM, TCP/IP, OSA, policy agent) and related applications.

Extensive knowledge of SYSPLEX-XCF communication and OSPF

Policy based networking on z/OS

Extensive knowledge and usage of Monitoring products (such as TMON, Exigence), Storage Products (SMS, DMS or HSM)

File Transfer packages (XCOM, Connect:Direct, Netview/FTP, FTP, TIBCO Managed File Transfer) selection, installation, and customization of packages.

Access packages (NCAccess, NCI, CA-TPX)
