Mainframe Storage Administrator

There are multiple positions within a large Government Department to start immediately until 30 June 2013.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, support and implementation of Mainframe technologies;
- Technical support and problem resolution of Mainframe services; and
- Skills transfer and mentoring of staff for Mainframe systems.

SKILLS:

- Extensive knowledge in Mainframe infrastructure management software, including vendor control software and System z communications utilities and programs;
- Knowledge in the following IBM Mainframe processors, CPs, zIIPs, IFLs, ICFs, Brocade and CISCO Director Switches, IBM, EMC and HDS DASD and their management software packages, IBM and StorageTek Tape infrastructure (including their virtual tape technologies, VTS, VSM and VLE), HMC, HCD, IOCDS, z/OS operating system and commands, ACF2, RACF, JES2, VTAM, TCPIP, XCF, GRS, GDPS, HyperSwap, IBM utilities, TSO, ISPF, SDSF, CMF. RMF, SMF, ICF Catalogs, DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, IDCAMS, FDR, ExHPDM, ACSHSC, VTCS, CA-1, RMM, TMM, Control-M, Control-T, Control-D, REXX, Assembler, System Automation, Netmaster, MAI, Netview, etc; and
- Mainframe hardware and peripherals, including Mainframe Processors, Director Switches, DASD and Tape Infrastructure, both physical and virtual technologies.
