Mainframe Engineer (Cobol) (DB2)

Mainframe Engineer (Cobol) (DB2) urgently required by one of my clients for a long term contract position based in Leeuwarden, Amsterdam.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Configuring user acceptance different test regions.
- Version controlling for components to production from test regions.
- Responsible for running jobs in OPC/TWS for UAT testing.
- Handling JIRA, REMEDY, EMR for scheduling and maintain incidents etc.
- Monitoring system performance in test and production.
- Scheduling and monitoring jobs using OPC/TWS in regular basis for incidents and Adhoc requests.
- Responsible for complete production deployments.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience with Mainframe Z/OS languages and platform
- Experience with OPC/TWS.
- Experience with DB2, Cobol, VSAM, CICS and JCL.
- Experience with tools like BMC REMEDY, JIRA and EMR.
- Experience with Agile DevOps procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
