SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
We are currently looking to recruit a contract specialist to provide 24/7 support and monitoring tasks on a Mainframe environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- 24 x7 Real Time Monitoring and OS support: z/OS operating system, all subsystems, attached devices and online transaction processing
- Support on standard procedures and escalations, perform alert response activities
- Execute periodic health checks, self-monitoring for supported tools
- Perform deployment and project roll-outs for all monitoring tool changes; support Engineering projects.
- Rationalize alerts, reduce noise alerts and improve monitoring environment
- Monitoring and reporting on processes KPI and performance against established Service Levels.
- Categorize Events from Application monitoring.
- Create and modify scripts for monitoring, Performance, Availability, Capacity of Applications at defined thresholds
- Monitoring and coordinating all Problems until they are resolved
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Some years of experience in a similar role in a comparable demanding environment
- Knowledge of Mainframe, z/OS, ITIL and Control-M
- problem management skills
- You work well under pressure
- Ready to work in 24x7 shift organization
- Fluency in English is required
