Mainframe Developers - Coolgen and PL1
Six month contracts initially
South Dublin
This is an exciting time to join a major organisation whom are experiencing a period of growth. There are two positions currently open for Mainframe Developers one who would be proficient with PL1 while the other with Coolgen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Software Engineering in either/both SDLC and Agile Environment (Scrum) delivering high-quality coded solutions in required technology families, platforms, functional and industry domains using prescribed tools, frameworks and technologies
* Establish & develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Deliver tailored results leveraging your technical competency and industry knowledge.
* Implement all software developments/changes to the required standards and within agreed deadlines.
* Proactively identify and assist in the timely resolution of issues and defects.
* Provide post implementation support.
Key Competencies and Experience
* Experience of working on both New-build and Maintenance programs in Banking or similar industries.
* Have extensive experience in the analysis, design, build, test, installation, and support of properly engineered information systems.
* Be a strong and committed team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
* Have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Be proactive in developing own skills and knowledge.
* Have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
* Have the ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
* Have the ability to work in an Agile team environment - actively participating in story planning and detailed daily stand-ups.
Technical Skills: JCL, Coolgen, PL1, Changeman, BMC Remedy
