Mainframe Developer

Our client is looking for a Mainframe Developer who will be working in the Siebel and Case/Work Management Systems Branch within Enterprise Applications. There will also be the opportunity to support business as usual functionality across a number of Legacy systems and supporting the Siebel Reference Data team for the two monthly cyclical releases.

THE ROLE:

- Design, construction, maintenance and testing of software using the Cool:Gen 7.6 Toolset and Mainframe facilities as necessary.
- Conducting analysis of functionality and data issues.
- Deliver and maintain technical documentation.
- Deliver technical solutions to IT problems and issues,
- Communicating with a range of business staff and IT staff, and
- Transferring skills to other staff.
- Broader application development and support in Case, Work and CRM functionality

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Demonstrated Client Server and/or Batch program development experience using the Cool:Gen 7.6 Toolset.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a MVS/CICS/Cobol/DB2 Mainframe and LAN environments and associated Cool:Gen tools GuardEn 7.6, CSE clients, Build tools, CSE ferret, Construction Client.
- Demonstrated SQL experience in a MVS/CICS/DB2 Mainframe environment and associated DB2 tools, SPUFI, SQL, DMS (Platinum and Princeton), FTS (File Transfer System)
- Demonstrated experience in designing technical IT solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in producing technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing production and data problems and providing business and IT solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including an ability to work with systems analysts and testers.
- Experience or ability to acquire knowledge of Case Management, Work Management and CRM functionality preferred.
