Mainframe Cobol/DB2 Developer

MAINFRAME COBOL/DB2 DEVELOPER
For one of my globally leading tech clients I am urgently looking for a Mainframe Cobol/DB2 developer working on a minimum 6-12 month project in Brussels, Belgium.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Hands on in Cobol coding and involvement in development projects (rather than production support)
- Good knowledge of Cobol and DB2 (IMS experience is a plus)
- Insurance Domain knowledge (OK if Bank Domain)
- Agile experience is a plus
- French Speaking essential (& Dutch is nice to have)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
. Hands on Cobol/DB2 programming experience in Legacy Mainframe based system
. Strong understanding of Source code Cobol and SQL
. Minimum 4+ years of experience in SDLC and Methodologies
. Insurance domain knowledge - Preferable
. Ability to participate in Business Discussion/Meeting & Requirement review with SMEs
. Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people
. Seeking information/clarification for projects or support high priority incidents
. Translating the documents/sharing information from local language to English
. Ability to work as a bi-lingual and interfacing between Customers and Client team
. Flexible in working hours (8 Hours/day) based on project requirements
Good to have:
. Having basic knowledge in Operating System (TSO), Batch Jobs (JCL), Onlines, and operating languages such as Assembly/ADABAS
. Prior experience in working with multi-cultural team and offshore onsite model
. Documentation skill and sufficient knowledge in Microsoft productivity tools like Ms-word, Ms-excel, PPT etc.
LOCATION: Brussels, Belgium
CONTRACT: 6 months - 1 Year
RATES: Negotiable
