Magento Developer - Senior Magento Developer/Architect

Senior Magento developer required who has worked on a number of large  projects that required customisation of Magento functionality and development of new functionality. Candidates must be able to advise on technical implementation in order to assist the project team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Convert requirements into technical and functional specifications for large, complex projects
- Provide feature estimates
- Develop and enhance new and existing applications
- Write, test, and deploy code using established standards and procedures
- Understand and adhere to specifications
- Troubleshoot and maintain existing software according to company standards and procedures
- Design and deliver formal or informal training
- Mentor and support other developers
- Review deliverables and provide performance feedback
- Recommend process and technical improvements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in software development including 3 years of experience developing in Magento
- Experience is Object Oriented PHP development
- Experience developing Magento modules
- Experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, XSL
- Experience with Zend MVC Framework
- Strong eCommerce background
- Expertise with development life cycle methodologies and best practices

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL, PHP) stack
- Strong relational database skills
- Experience working on Open Source projects
- Integration with Back End systems via webservices.
