Machine Software Engineer

We are currently searching for a software engineer to work in Eindhoven in holland for 12 months plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Introduction
The sector Manufacturing and Logistics is responsible for the production of wafer steppers and scanners. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within Manufacturing. The Machine Software Engineer working within this sector introduces new products and corresponding software processes from Development into (Volume) production (including the system installation and qualification process at the customer location), continuously adapts and optimizes the production and installation processes and provides support in connection with the organization

Job Mission
You will optimize the CT (Cycle Time) in the production process regarding machine software and monitor and reduce the lost hours.

Job Description
As Machine Software Engineer, you will primarily support, maintain and optimize generic manufacturing processes and realizes efficient and effective means and methods. Main activities are focused on System software processes. Support is mainly done within a UNIX environment.

Examples are:
Software installation process, patch updating process, configuration management.

In summary, your main responsibilities for this position are.
2nd line support on software procedures and tooling.
Process engineering - For instance:
Process and/or technical improvements on existing processes/tools; design, documentation, implementation and after care of new processes/tools; setting up Service Level Agreements. Management of changes and incidents concerning software procedures and software tools. Project engineering: Involvement in projects as a subject matter expert regarding machine software. Give training for end-users (Dutch and English).

Experience
For this job opening the overall needed experience is. At least 1-2 years relevant work experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes. Experience in UNIX. Knowledge of process improvement methods.
