Machine Operator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MACHINE OPERATOR to join our client in Tempe, AZ.

Job Overview:
The Operator I is an entry level position and will be accountable for learning how to operate a defined portion of all the manufacturing equipment in a safe, high quality and productive manner under close supervision of an Operator or Lead. The Operator I is expected to proactively complete assigned tasks and to respond to the Lead Operator's requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
- The main duties of the job entail blending chemicals together using a variety of different equipment sets.
- Maintains safe working conditions and practices to achieve a zero (0) lost time injury record within the area of responsibility.
- Perform work duties in accordance with Quality Systems Manual procedures, safety policies and site specific requirements.
- Attend all mandatory site specific training and meetings.
- Inspect all work areas on a continuous basis for any mechanical problems, safety hazards and unusual operation conditions.
- Keep work and supply areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Ensure that company safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain required safety documentation.
- Assist in collection of in-process and finish product samples as required.
- Develop skills with production and mobile equipment used in the department.
- Develop skills to operate all manufacturing equipment used in the department in a safe manner.
- Understand each manufacturing process and be able to identify and report any deviations to the lead/manager in a timely manner.
- Represent the company in a professional manner on a daily basis with the customers, suppliers, the public and other employees.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Learn to monitor/replenish in-process inventories of consumables/raw materials.
- Assist in shipping/receiving activities as directed.

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior career experience of minimum two (2) years in operations role and/or equivalent experience.
- Career experience in semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computers. Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic Math Skills.
