M&P Engineer

My Client, a world leader in design and manufacturing of satellites is currently looking for an M&P Engineer for a 6 month contract based in Portsmouth. Your role as the M&P Engineer will be to provide quality and expertise services for M&P (Materials and Processes) to a prime contractors project team. The M&P Engineer will optimize the selection process of Materials and Process and supports the procurement w.r.t. the requirements, interfacing with all of the clients actors involved in the M&P process. The M&P engineer manages the external sub-contractors in their domain. You would support the project team and interfaces with the final customer for al M&P dossiers

Responsibilities
Definition of M&P requirements applicable to the project
Consolidation of M&P documents (DML - Declared Materials List, Alerts )
Review and approval of sub-contractors compliance to project requirement
Participation or support to project reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, DRB, )
Approval of components selection via TICs (Technology identification Card) or JDs (Justification Dossiers) issued by Sub-contractors
Management of MPCBs (Material and Process Control Boards) assessing all M&P activities done by Sub-contractors, with final customer representation as required
Support NRBs and approval of RFDs, RFWs and NCRs related to M&P
Management of M&P alerts application by Sub-Contractor
Assessment of M&P activities done by Sub-Contractors
Contribution to project reporting and management of M&P documentation (DMLs, TICs, qualification status, NCRs, alerts )

Skills required:
M&P and technological knowledge of the different Materials and processes used in Electronic assembles within the aerospace industry
Knowledge of the space M&P normative environment (European and US)
Familiar with project organisations (End customer/prime/Sub-Contractors)
