M&E Technical Officer

Background

Our Central Government client is currently recruiting for an M&E Technical Officer to join them on a contract basis to start ASAP until May 2014, based in Leuchars Fife. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic security check at the cost of £25, and then they must be eligible to undergo full security clearance. The Mechanical and Electrical Technical Officer, supports the Facility Manager to deliver the full spectrum of Estates Management. The department is responsible for the delivery and assurance of the contracted service, providing technical support and advice to the Head of Establishment.

Raising new works orders.
Auditing and assurance.
Response Maintenance.
Pre Planned Maintenance.
Minor New Works.
Performance Reporting & Stakeholder Management.
Ensuring statutory & mandatory compliance.
Safe Systems of Work.
Project management.
Review of inspection reports

The individual will be responsible for specifying, evaluating designs for, and monitoring mechanical and electrical works, utilising a high degree of technical knowledge. They will be responsible for project management of allocated tasks and ensuring technical and quality assurance. They will also be responsible for conducting audits and checks of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. The individual must have strong communication and IT skills, be able to work with minimal supervision and to effectively prioritise workloads. A facilities management background is highly desirable.
